What do we need?

Recycling Investment Technological Business Group (RITECH) will be known as the “controller” and “processor” of the personal data you provide to us. We will only collect basic personal data from you, which will include Name, Address; Nationality; Email, Phone number, ID Number, Bank Verification Number (BVN) and any other information as may be mandated by the regulatory requirements of the respective countries and their applicable central bank requirement.  We will NEVER ask for personal banking information such as card details (CVV); PIN, Password; Secure Passcode; or Token number.

Why do we need it?

To provide you with financial products through us, we will need you to collect, retain, and handle certain of your personal information as required by law. Your approval is required in order to make the organization's services available to you in accordance with the relevant law or regulation. The company's Abuja headquarters, any of its subsidiaries, and/or any approved service providers (third parties), as applicable, shall securely keep and handle all of the personal information it collects about you. Unless required by a legal or regulatory duty for the financial services, your information will be kept private. We will take all reasonable steps to safeguard the security and privacy of all customer and employee personal data. RITECH complies with the latest information security standards, including PCI-DSS and ISO/IEC 27001:2013.

How long do we keep it?

As a regulated financial services organization, we will keep your personal information for ten (10) years, or as long as local law may demand, after which time it will be destroyed in accordance with applicable government laws and banking regulations. Please be aware that laws may compel RITECH to keep your personal information after your service connection with us ends for a predetermined amount of time.

Use or Sharing of Personal Data

In accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and any other applicable data protection laws, all personally identifiable information collected will be processed at our facilities in Abuja, Nigeria, or any of our subsidiaries, and may be shared with third parties and service providers to complete the service to the customers.

You should only email us via the secure email feature on our website since the security of regular email cannot be guaranteed

  • Keep your special User ID and Password private and confidential to protect them. Never record them or divulge this information to anybody. You are responsible for notifying us right away if you believe your User ID and password have been compromised, lost, or stolen, and unauthorized transactions may have taken place as a result.
  • Remedies for personal data violation If your personal data is violated at any given time, you are at liberty to contact the Data Protection Officer (DPO) of the bank at dataprotection@ritechgroup.org
  • •Within a reasonable timeframe of RITECH receiving a complaint, RITECH shall notify the Individual in line with data privacy requirements of either,
  • (i)RITECH's position with regard to the complaint and any action RITECH has taken or will take in response; or,
  • (ii)when the individual will be informed of RITECH's position, which date shall be in line with data privacy requirements.
  • Remedies shall include but are not limited to investigating and reporting to appropriate authorities, recovering the personal data, correcting it and enhancing controls around it.
Cross Border Transfer

We process data both inside and outside of Nigeria due to the nature of our financial operations, and we rely on channels established by law to move data across borders legitimately. There is a chance that the rules in the nations where we handle data will be different from those in Nigeria and the EU and may not be as protective.
